I am a consensus builder. It helps that I understand the dynamics of council. I was elected to council as the District Four representative and served two terms. Later I was elected as an at-large councilmember and elected as Mayor in 2013. I am the only councilmember to serve in all three positions. I respect Council’s views and the expertise of our staff as we work together to do what best of the City of Greensboro.
I have focused on your health and safety. This has always been my priority. During my terms as Mayor, I have advocated continuously for improvements in Housing, Jobs & Economic Development, Public Safety, our Quality of Life and the City’s COVID-19 response.

The future of Greensboro depends on the involvement of all its citizens. Your voice is important and there is no better way to contribute than to vote. Are you sure you are registered to vote? If you are not yet registered, find out how to register to vote in Guilford County and learn more about your elected officials.
